Well, you don’t need to spend your wallet to call expensive professional carpet cleaners. With just a paper towel, an iron, or a hairdryer, you can get rid of the Scentsy wax.

But do you think it’s that much easy to get your carpet back to its original shape? Never! It’s a complete process we have explained in this article.

How To Get Scentsy Wax Out Of Carpet?

Getting out that dense wax from the thin carpet’s fibers might be a matter of concern for you. But the right steps can wipe off this panic dilemma from your mind.

Essential Items For the Process

Make sure you have the items you will need during this process. If they aren’t out there, make them possible before you start removing the Scentsy wax.

  • A scraper or butter knife
  • Ice or ice cubes
  • A Commercial carpet cleaner
  • Brown paper bag or paper towel
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • An iron or hairdryer

Once you’re packed with all these items, it’s time to take out the first step.

Step 1: Freeze the Scentsy Wax

You need to turn that melted wax into a solid shape so that it becomes easy to scrape and doesn’t spill further.

Put out ice packs or anything frozen out of your freezer and place it onto that Scentsy wax. We’d recommend using ice as it can make it much easier than other freezing elements.

If you’re using frozen meat or something that can leave its own stain, wrap it in a bag or towel over the wax.

Step 2: Scrape the Wax Out

Once you turn the wax into a proper solid shape, move on to scraping. You’ll be needing a scraper like a butter knife or dull knife to do the job. Remove as much frozen wax as you can. At this stage, most of the Scentsy wax will be drawn out and you will be left with wax in the inner fibers only.

Precaution: Make sure you don’t damage carpet fibers while scraping.

Step 3: Soak the Wax With Iron and Paper Towel

This is the most crucial and complicated step in getting out the Scentsy wax from your carpet. Take a paper towel or a brown paper bag and put it onto the waxed area. Now bring out your iron and set it at the lowest temperature.

Gently press the iron on the paper towel and move it back and forth like you’re ironing it. Maintaining a circular motion of the iron will help you melt the wax faster.

Upon gaining enough heat, the Scentsy wax will melt and begin to transfer to the towel or paper bag. Then turn out the paper and put its fresher part on the carpet and keep repeating this process until the paper doesn’t get any wax from the carpet.

  • Don’t use an iron at high temperatures; your carpet’s fibers can melt, and you can damage the carpet more.
  • If you use a paper towel, take its three layers to cover the hard Scentsy wax and peel off the wax from the carpet.

Step 4: Clean the Waxed Area

Here, you’ll need a commercial carpet cleaner to wash out any extra wax bits. Do wet the wax area with the carpet cleaner to prepare it for the blotting. Alternatively, you can also use alcohol to spray on the carpet wax.

When the wax area gets soggy from the carpet cleaner or alcohol, take a sponge or towel to blot the waxed spot. Do repeat this process if you still see any wax traces out there. You can also soak the sponge in the cleansing agent and start blotting the wax stain.

If you use alcohol, make sure you don’t saturate the sponge. Extra alcohol can damage the soft carpet fibers.

Step 5: Vacuum the Carpet

Once you have cleaned your carpet, probably the area will become soggy. Since walking in a wet area will leave some stains. You need a vacuum to air out the carpet to ensure it dries completely.

How to Remove the Scentsy Wax Stain?

The wax will most likely be cleared by going through the steps above. Still, if you see something on the carpet, it means some oil residue and the wax color in the carpet fibers has turned into a stain.

Since Scentsy wax does have a high oil content and a paper bag or paper towel cannot remove it, you need some strong agents, like alcohol to do the job.

Rubbing alcohol

Rubbing alcohol Is a good solvent and comes in quite handy in removing every type of color

stains. You can remove the oily wax color stain using the following steps.

  • Clean up the carpet with commercial carpet cleaner and pour some rubbing alcohol.
  • Leave the carpet as it is for 5 minutes.
  • Take a paper towel and blot the area; the stain will come out on the towel.
  • Take cold water, add dishwashing detergent and apply to the carpet to rinse the stain.
  • Repeat rinsing with cold water.
  • Leave the area untouched to get it dry.
